Aki már ismer, azt nem éri meglepetés, hogy Norvégiában kötöttem ki. Köztudott rólam, hogy miután 2013-ban elkezdtem norvégul tanulni Budapesten az ELTÉ-n, Norvégia fan lettem, és csak idő kérdése volt, hogy mikor költözök Norvégiába tanulni és dolgozni. 

Eredeti tervként az MA tanulmányaimat akartam idén augusztusban kezdeni Osloban, de aztán változtak az elképzeléseim. Négy egyetemi év után úgy éreztem, hogy elfogyott a motivációm és a lelkesedésem, amivel bele tudnék kezdeni újabb két évbe, kell most egy kis szünet. Kell egy év, amikor végre van időm mindenre, amihez kedvem van, olvasni, írni, kreatív dolgokat csinálni, új embereket megismerni, új helyeken járni, hasznos dolgokat és nyelvet tanulni minden mennyiségben, és nem utolsó sorban kitalálni, hogyan tovább, merre akarom folytatni az életem. 

Véletlenül találtam meg azt a honlapot még a télen, ahol Erasmus+ EVS projekteket lehetett keresgélni, és egyből megnéztem, hogy van-e valami Norvégiában. Több projektre is jelentkeztem, és ezt a helyet kaptam meg Nordfjordeidban. 

Az Erasmus+ EVS-t is az EU támogatja, és ugyan az a program célja, mint a sima Erasmus+nak, hogy segítse a fiatalok elhelyezkedését a munkaerőpiacon a megszerzett nyelvtudást és tapasztalatokat hasznosítva. Tanulásmódszertanilag annyiban különbözik a sima Erasmus+tól, hogy az EVS (European Volunteering Service) projektek a nonformális tanulásra és gyakorlati tapasztalatokra épülnek. Tehát nem úgy tanulsz nyelvet, hogy beülsz az iskolapadba és házit meg dolgozatokat írsz, hanem dolgozol valamilyen társadalmilag hasznos szervezetnél, tapasztalatokat szerzel és közben még rád is ragadnak a nyelvek idegennyelvi környezetben. Valamint nem egyetemek cserélgetik a diákjaikat, hanem önkéntes szervezetek cserélgetik az önkénteseiket. A kezdőlapon a hasznos linkek között megtaláljátok például a Volunteering Database-t, ahol EVS projekteket lehet keresni. Tehát egy ilyen programban veszek részt.

A város neve Nordfjordeid, Nyugat-Norvégiában található, Bergentől kocsival három óra északra. Csupán 3000 fő lakja, ezért jogosan merült fel bennem is a kérdés, hogy mi a bánatot fogok én ott csinálni... De ha kicsit körbenéz a neten az ember, hamar kiderül, hogy norvég viszonylatban teljesen mást jelent a 3000 fő, és abszolút meglepő, hogy mennyi minden van ebben a városban. Mivel Norvégia nem túl sűrűn lakott, ezért Nordfjordeid ezzel a 3000 lakójával Eid járás központjának számít. Ott vannak a hivatalok, és minden, amire egy átlag embernek szüksgége van, szerintem még egy kicsit több is. Van óvoda, általános iskola, szakiskola, gimnázium, főiskola, kórház, bevásárlóközpont 25 üzlettel, összesen 4 viszonylag nagyobb élelmiszerbolt (sarki boltnál sokkal nagyon, Tesco-nál sokkal kisebb), hotel, uszoda, játszótér, több múzeum (például egy skanzem), nyaranta rockfesztivál (ami Norvégia 10 legnagyobb fesztiválja között van) és egy operaház!! Norvégia második legnagyobb operaháza épp itt található, ami szintén nem csak operaházként működik, hanem művelődési központként, használja az iskola rendezvényekre, az önkormányzat, rendszeresen vannak benne koncertek, színpadi előadások, musicalek és mozifilmek. 

Kiderítettem már a neten minden infót, amit csak lehetett, és ami csak érdekelt... Még majdnem két hét van hátra indulásig, augusztus 31-ig, de már alig várom!! A következő posztot már kintről fogom írni az utazásról és az első napokról.

How do I get to Norway?

Who already knows me won't be surprised that I ended up in Norway. It was well known about me that I fell in love with Norway and with the norwegian language after I started to learn norwegian in 2013 at the ELTE university in Budapest. It was just a question of time when will I move to Norway to study and work. My original plan was to start my Master studies in Oslo in this year, however my plans were changed. After four years at the university I feel myself unmotivated and I lost my enthusiasm which I would need to begin a two years long Master. So I need a little break. I need a year when I finally have time for everything, to read, to write, make creative things, meet new people, visit new places, to learn useful things, languages eminently and maybe the most important thing, to figure it out how and where will I continue my life.

I adventitiously found a website in the winter where I could find Erasmus+ EVS Projects and of course I was looking for projects in Norway. There were three project which I applied and I got this job in Nordfjordeid. The Erasmus + EVS Program is also financed by the EU and the aims of the program are the same like by the normal Erasmus+; to help for young people to find a good job with help of the purchased language knowledge and experiences. Considering the methodology of learning it differs from the normal Erasmus+ in the fact that EVS (Erupean Volunteering Servise) programs are based on nonformal learning and practical experiences. Therefor you won't sit in the school and write tests but you will working by a socially useful organisation where you experience a lot and in the same time the languages are just sticking to you. Over and above this is not a student exchange program between universities, but it is an exchange program between voluntary organisations. You can see the Volunteering Database where you can find EVS Projects on the home page between the useful links. So I take part in an EVS Project.

The name of the city is Nordfjordeid, it is located in West Norway, 5 hours by car from Bergen. The number of the inhabitants is 3000, that why I could rightly ask myself what the hell will I doing there?! But if you surf a little on the internet you would realise that 3000 people means not the same in Norway like in Hungary or in Germany. Because Norway is not too densely populated therfor is Nordfjordeid with its 3000 inhabitant the center of Eid municipality. There are the offices and everything what an avarage person needs and actually more... There is a kindergarden, primary school, trade school, grammar school, college, hospital, shopping center with 25 stores, alltogether 4 larger food store, a swimming pool, a hotel, a playground and more museum (for example an open air museum). In Nordfjordeid will be held a rockfestival, the Malakoff Rockfestival in every summer (which is between the 10 largest festivals in Norway) and an Operahouse!!! Norways second larges operahouse is there, which operates not just as an operahouse but as a community center. It is used by the grammar school and by the munucipiality to held events there. Conserts, cinemaprograms, musicals, and theater plays take regularly place in the operahouse.

I have already figured out everything from the internet which I was interested in... It is still two weeks till the departure on the 31th of August but I can't wait! I will write the next post already from Norway about the journey and about the first days.
